Introduction

The Revelstoke Accommodation Association (RAA) was formed in January 2007 by representatives of  accommodation properties located in Revelstoke, British Columbia.  The RAA is registered with the BC Societies Act.  The RAA acts as the community DMO and works in cooperation with 19 associated member accommodation properties offering various tourism marketing initiatives and cooperative advertising opportunities.  The RAA also works with the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce,  Revelstoke Tourism, Revelstoke Mountain Resort and several other community organizations and business stakeholders on cooperative marketing initiatives.

The  Revelstoke Accommodation Association goal is to increase Revelstoke’s marketing impact and competitiveness through the implementation of tactical marketing strategies which are primarily funded through the implementation of the BC AHRT (Additional Hotel Room Tax).

The economic impact of increased tourism flows through many facets of Revelstoke. Tourism is a green industry capable of achieving steady health and growth on a long-term basis while making significant contributions to Revelstoke on  long-term basis.
 

Staff

Thom Tischik, Marketing Manager

Thom has worked on the tourism industry since 1977 in various capacities. Thom has worked at major destination ski resorts, retail operations, regional tourism marketing associations and community destination marketing organizations.  Other staff for the Revelstoke Accommodation Association are all of the hard-working people at the 19 members’ accommodation properties who are committed to giving the best Revelstoke has to offer.
