Not a winter lover? That’s OK, because in the warmer months from April through October, Revelstoke honestly has something for just about anyone. Want to experience the incredible views and alpine wildflowers at the summit of Mount Revelstoke National Park? We’ve got it! Maybe you’re a hard-core history buff and need to learn all you can about the building of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Well, then you’ll head to the Revelstoke Railway Museum and any one of the other museums in Revelstoke that depict the over 100 year history of this unspoiled, authentic mountain town. We’re also an artsy community with our own gallery of local artists. Looking for something big? Then we have that covered with a tour of the recently-renovated Revelstoke Dam and Visitor Centre offering a wide range of exhibits and activities for all ages. New to the centre are 14 interactive displays, a First Nations gallery and theatre. Learn how the Revelstoke project was built, how water is turned into electrical energy, and don’t miss out on a self-guided tour that’ll take you on an elevator ride to the lookout located atop the massive, 175-metre high concrete dam.

Ah, but wait, you need to pump up your adrenaline level? So then you’ll need to to head out and go whitewater rafting on the Illecillewaet River (no, they don’t make you spell it for a test) or take your entire family to the Enchanted Forest and try the Sky Trek zip-line. Only your face will hurt from smiling so much! And we’ll keep you smiling at the Revelstoke Golf Club, an 18 hole par 3 course that’s tough and beautiful, all at the same time.

After all of that action, you’re going to need to relax and get something to eat and maybe a special beverage. We can help! Revelstoke has a great variety of eating establishments and is also home to Mt. Begbie Brewing Company, just in case you need to sample some of our locally brewed specialty beers.
